Techlan has acquired a 3rd industrial unit for rent at its current location. The expansion is part of a 5 year plan to service the release paper market throughout the whole of Europe.
Director Mark Thompson explains, “Our recycled release paper is of high quality and significantly cheaper than a virgin paper. We have short lead times and small minimum order quantities. Customers are responding to these attributes and buying our release papers. The business is growing steadily and in order to expand on our services, we needed extra warehousing capacity that we could access easily. It is quite by chance that the adjacent unit became available and we were able to take the lease on and avoid the expense of having to move our production to a completely new site”.
The project sees Techlan investing in additional warehousing equipment and further training will be provided to all staff in order to ensure the strict health and safety requirements continue to be adhered to.
Techlan has plans to expand its portfolio of silicone release papers in 2015. The new warehousing capacity will allow it to further develop these products for supply in larger quantities for the UK and European markets.
