ARCS & Techlan developing circular logistics solutions

We’re excited to be working with Applied Research for Circular Solutions (ARCS) who are supporting our company’s ambitions in developing a new reverse logistics system that will enable fully circular supply chains for silicone release liners.

Applied Research for Circular Solutions (ARCS) is a programme providing bespoke circular innovation support to companies across South-West Wales. Fully funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered by Swansea University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering, ARCS leverages academic expertise to help businesses unlock the opportunities of a circular economy.  The programme fits in perfectly with Techlan’s sustainable business model for manufacturing its 100% recycled silicone release liner.

ARCS provides 1-1 support for companies that want to start innovating with the circular economy or optimise an existing circular project. The team works on a project-specific basis tailoring their approach to the size, sector, Circular Economy knowledge and ambitions of each organisation.

Time, resources and information are the most common reasons companies struggle to identify and implement circular economy opportunities. The support provided through ARCS aims to address this by connecting businesses with academics, providing up to £10,000 worth of research and advice. The programme runs until December 2024 across Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea. So, if you are a business that wants to capitalise on the economic, environmental and social opportunities the team at [email protected].

Techlan’s recycled silicone release liner in itself is a circular economy solution. Our company objective is to continually push the boundaries of innovation within sustainability and it is hoped that ARCS can help us achieve these ambitions.
